Project Background
To advance domestic technology transformation, the Changjiang Water Resources Commission procured and deployed Highgo Database as the central database management system for its data-governance platform.
The platform centrally manages data resources, builds standardized data API interfaces, provides proxy services externally, and extends services to key applications such as the Water Map and the data classification and grading system.
Challenges and Requirements
- Water resources data access and storage have extremely high security requirements, so the database needed secure transmission and encrypted storage.
- Business systems involved vector data services, requiring strong database support for vector data.
- The customer needed an enterprise-grade delivery solution that maximized availability, recoverability, and observability under limited hardware resources.
- Build a self-controllable and secure central database for data governance.

Highgo Database supports identity authentication, access control, SSL transport, and encrypted storage technologies to protect data across storage, transmission, and access paths.
Geographic information extension
The database provides rich geographic information indexes, functions, and operators for vector data storage and processing, improving spatial representation and operation efficiency.
Primary-standby high availability
Highgo delivered a streaming-replication-based primary-standby hot-standby solution with automatic failover, improving platform availability within the available hardware footprint.
