Power grid automation is a foundational technology for modern electric utilities. It coordinates monitoring, measurement, protection, and control across substations, allowing data sharing, resource sharing, and more efficient station operations.
As the localization program in the power industry accelerated, database autonomy became a core requirement. Highgo therefore built joint solutions with top automation vendors to support localized database deployments in comprehensive automation systems.
Challenges and Requirements
- Remote field sites are usually equipped with only two physical servers, leaving no spare nodes for complex clustering.
- Most sites are unattended, so deployment and maintenance must be simple enough to avoid repeated on-site operations.
- Grid systems require 7x24 continuous availability with very high expectations for data consistency and service continuity.
- Projects must satisfy both strict power-industry security standards and domestic platform adaptation requirements.
- Support two-node high-availability deployment in compact site environments.
- Provide one-click deployment and uninstall capabilities to reduce field maintenance effort.
- Adapt to domestic CPUs and operating systems required by localization programs.

Implementation Approach
Two-node db_ha cluster
Highgo db_ha supports synchronous or asynchronous failover, automatic VIP drift, anti-split-brain protection, and automatic fault switching for remote station continuity.
Application-level dual-master delivery
For scenarios that prefer simplified deployment, Highgo provides a secure standalone database package that supports one-click installation and application-side dual-master adaptation.
Dual-master logical synchronization
Based on logical replication, both sides remain readable and writable while WAL-based change capture replays transactions on the target side to keep data aligned.
